counseling

My counseling style is a warm, person-centered, nonjudgmental, integrative approach: to healing and change, observation and action, connection to self and others. All of us experience struggles and suffering in our lives. The focus is to acknowledge what is going on in your life while working towards change from a place of compassion. Focusing on your strengths, building upon those strengths, and helping you to move towards the values are important to you.
There are many modalities for many people. Because well, we are all different. No two people are the same. Each person and situation has a uniqueness and needs to be treated respectfully as such. I approach counseling by way of collaboration between the therapist (myself) and you (the client) in a safe space. It is you that is giving me permission to be on this journey with you. Therapy is individualized to the person I am working with; not a one-size-fits-all approach. Observing what you are dealing with from a multifaceted perspective, not only in parts. Meeting you where you are and working together towards insight and understanding. Finding strategies that fit your lifestyle so you can find ease from the suffering you may be faced with while seeing and building upon your strengths.
